For the Pretty Boy Floyd lovers, why do you think he is so great? Do you think his record is the best?
Personally I believe, the competition is nowhere close to what it was 20 years ago. There is no one good out there like the legends of the past for floyd to fight. If sugar ray robinson was in his prime right now he would destroy floyd. So would Julio Cesar Chavez at a featherweight fight vs Floyd no question just like Julio beat Floyds uncle (who is his trainer) Floyd will never have the longest winning streak if thats what people think. Just look that up. Even the two i mentioned had winning streaks longer than floyd will ever have fights. Julio had 89-0 Sugar Ray was in the 90's they both had over 88 wins by way of knockout. Floyd has 25? when Julio Cesar Chavez had 41 wins and 0 losses he had 39 knockouts! Floyd runs and jabs thats all. Anyone who can talk bad about Julio or Sugar Ray Robinson is an idiot they only continued to fight until an old age because they didnt make that much money back then so they had to fight. Like true champions. Julio didnt retire till 45 years old. I'd love to see floyd make it to that age and still be a competitor. As for people who love floyd, he isnt anything different than a meldrik taylor or that kind of fighter they had their great records too there just was too many great fighters back then. If Floyd fought 20 years ago there is no question in my mind, or any true boxing fan that knows about the past would ageree that he would be a scrub. He wouldnt last in the 15 round days and wouldnt last 12 with someone who is gonna pursue and be agressive and take anything he can give him. Julio Cesar Chavez only got knocked down once in his life. Floyd has been knocked down already before. Julio was also around 38 years old when this happened. I just dont understand how floyd should be one of the greatest. If you are a Floyd fan please explain to me how you believe he would beat the legends of the past had he fought them in their primes?
