I need a new book to read - can u recommend something within this genre?

I need a love story to read (No - not a tacky Harlequin romance - a real love story - well written too, preferably.) I've read "Outlander" by Diana Gibaldon and thought it was excellent, I just don't know if I have the strength to get through the rest. The "Twilight" series was sweet and so imaginative, I LOVED "Shiver" and liked "Linger" by Maggie Stievater and I just read "Beautiful Creatures" by Cami Garcia (a little too young for me, but well written). I love supernatural romances but most of them fall in the teen-reading genra and are just a little too naive and PG for a grown woman. I though about reading something by Anne Rice but someone told me that it was pretty gruesome, so I'm a little scared now! ...So are there any decent supernatural romances out there that might be more mature and beautifully written? (not like an entirely plot-driven teen adventure story.)
