Parvo disinfecting after my sick puppy, need help?

I've heard that it can last in a home anywhere from 1 month to 7 months. If by chance your home were still infected and your new dog were to get the virus that would be not only horrible for the puppy but also for you to have to deal with the decision you made to rush a new dog into a potentially dangerous environment. If it were me I would have trouble forgiving myself for that. Consider your grieving time too. My suggestion is to wait it out...it will be worth it in the long run.
