Why do we need to learn about the Nashville flood from celebrities?

Ex. Faith Hill, Brad Paisley, Chesney, etc. How is it helpful for Americans to hear about how devastating the flood is from the richest citizens of Nashville? I'm certain none of these celebrities will have a problem relocating to one of their other homes. Interview some regular folks. I understand, putting a celebrity face on camera draws more attention, but how pathetic is that and what does it say about Americans?
