Is a droning speaker hum bad for my hearing?

I work as an editor and the speakers at my new job are awful, they have a constant mid-frequency hum that annoys me like crazy! I have asked and they tell me there's nothing they can do about it. No need to try and diagnose the problem, that's not why I'm here, but is it bad for my hearing to have this droning in my ears all day?
