Questions about Alberti b?

I'm not crazy about it- it gets clich� really quickly. Take about any Clical sonata or sonatina and it will be in there, I played God knows how many of these growing up! Alberti b just seems like filler, which is a little annoying; I'm sure it sounded innovative when it was new, a nice break from Baroque intensity!, but it still pales compared to the way Brahms worked out harmonies in piano, for example. Just my opinion :)
