Where it says type an e-mail address there is a scroll bar. It will not allow me to delete the IM's addy's

It shows the screen names from everyone that has ever messaged me including bots. How do i delete this?I have gone into archives and nothing so if anyone knows anything about Yahoo messenger and how to do this i would appreciate it
