Why doesn't yahoo put smilies on the answers?

it would really improve the site if they had a bar of smilies you could choose from. Like when you're answering a question, but you're not being entirely serious so people don't think you dont know what you're talking about. They could even use the same audibles they use for Yahoo messenger. What do you think?
